this picture brings back memmories of germany.

and for some reason it reminds me of how when i used to bus into town i would copy the nice lady in the bus who said the names of the stops trying to pick up a german accent.
i learned how to say my ue's from her and how to roll my R's

Am mühlenberg

und am botanischen garten

me and my friend used to sit their trying to say Garrrrrrrrrrrrten with a german R.
i think the other people on the bus thought we were crazy.

:D, fight..., the thought of you sitting in a U-Bahn repeating the station names after the loudspeaker lady makes me smile :).
Was it a Munich based loudspeaker lady, maybe?

bonn lady.
i thought munich had a man?? or was that berlin?

BONN???
I should have recognised the names, but I didn't.
Well, I probably never travelled to the Botanic Gardens in Bonn when I lived there from October 1978 till June 1979....

And don't ask me about the loudspeaker men or women in the different towns.
I would not even know whether there's a man or woman announcing the stations in the Hamburg S-Bahn or U-Bahn...

In the trains that stop at this very railway station it is a loudspeaker-woman to announce the names of the stations.
