I need serious opinion, i went out to capture some autumn colors, i got tired of waiting for a sunny day as it doesn't seem we are getting any. it was very cloudy and hence i found it difficult to get the picture the way i want. Please give me critique and advise on each of these All shot with a 50mm 1.8. in AV at 4.5. ISO100. rebelXT

thank you

You're looking for an honest critique, so ... they all look kinda "blah" to me. Especially #1 and #4 really look like "snapshots" without too much thought - the composition is lacking. For example, #5 has a focus, the ramps. Most of the photo draws your eye to the left third, bottom third. The trees don't add anything, though, and it's B&W so there are no colors.

I would suggest tighter crops, like filling 2/3 of the shot with the red and green tree in #4, the other third just with a blue sky. Really think about the composition and ask yourself if everything in the shot has a purpose towards what you're trying to convey.
