Basilica Block Party 2009 - Minneapolis

So some background, The Basilica Block Party is an annual event held on the grounds of the Minneapolis Basilica. It consists (usually) of a main stage behind the church a few blocks and a small stage in front of the Basilica. These shots were taken in front of the small stage which was hosting a local-roots band The Hold Steady. This show far out shined the main stage show - The Counting Crows (and I'm a huge Counting Crows fan!)

All were shot handheld with either a 28mm 1.8 or a 50mm 1.4

I have some good shots of the bands, but I'm waiting to hear back on legal rules around each band.
