Dozens of photo editing and organizing programs have I used so far in my photography career. And i pick up several of my favorites to share with you guys.

ACDSee is the most professional one, DVD Photo Slideshow is the easiest one, while Picasa is the FREE one!

My Review
My cousin introduced me to have a try on Google Picasa when I was wondering how to process over one thousand pictures I took for my sister’s wedding. I soon learned that Picasa is amazing when come to batch processing. The “I’m feeling lucky” button, like the one we see on www.google.com, really brought me good luck and helped me out.

It’s easy to upload the whole photo album to Picasa Web Album and share with your family and friends, just send them the URL of your Picasa album.

You can view the album in slideshow mode.

However, Picasa does not create slideshow or flash file. So if you need to make slideshow or flash for your website or MySpace, for instance, you got to use other programs.
DVD Photo Slideshow

My Review
What makes me like this program is its easy-to-use interface. I like the elegant, clear-cut interface and the good slideshow it makes.

There are abundant of good-looking transition effects. You can even dub the slideshow with built-in recorder. What’s more, you can add video clips to the photo slideshow.
P.S I have no idea why I fail to access to www.apple.com this afternoon, so i can't get an introduction of iPhoto. I will edit this thread next time or some one of you make iPhoto information posted here.

There are better ones on the market. Lightroom and photoshop for editing (batch editing) and organising and Proshow Gold/Producer for creating DVDs is a fab program.

yes, proshow is very professional, but i think DVD Photo Slideshow is more suitable for computer beginners.

Proshow Gold is a program for beginners and intermediate users that is very easy to use, allows the use of layers and many transitions, masks etc. Proshow Producer I would agree is for more professional use.

I don't need to make a DVD... Making swf slideshow will be good. I recommend Flash Slideshow Maker, i don't care its ad...I just treat it as a freeware..
