burn to cd?

i burn my photos to cd after a little (i mean little) edting then post to snapfish for friends and fam to enjoy? do you reccommend saving to cd or another form?

It's always a good idea to back up your photos (and other files) in a number of different formats and / or places... for example, many photographers will burn the unedited images striaght to a cd, then burn another with the edited / final images, and store them in a different place. This way if something happens to one set, you still have the others as a back-up.

If you're sending the images to a web-based gallery, and storing another copy on cd, then you should be fairly secure... if something happens to your cd, you can just re-download the images from the gallery... and if the gallery servers happen to crash and lose all your photos (unlikely - they probably back-up their servers off-site) then you still have the CD. :D
