    Same as Cow Skull photo

Now with that said, here is a very uninteresting photo of a Hook Spine Cactus flower.

    Before PP

And after PP. (just so you know, I have no Photoshop skills other than cropping, hue/brightness/color adjustments. All I did here was a little brighntess and some curve work)

I was afraid of that. That orange (for me) was a bit difficult to work with as is.

The flower looks flat? Like... Not 3D. Maybe it's my eyes.

There may be a few factors to that. One being that its a cactus flower, they tend to bloom right up against the cactus. 2. there isn't much contrast within the flower and petals itself. And 3. I wasn't able to get much of an angle on it. If I had to do an angle shot of it, I would have gotten the rocks in the background (see the cow skull photo.. a lot of Arizona houses have rocks instead of grass), and that would have been a distraction I think.

Maybe I should have switched it to Macro mode?
