1. My 2 year old wire-haired dachshund/poodle (although you can't see the poodle) mix; Boo.

2. Out-the-car-window shot that I spiced up in Photoshop to make it look remotely alright.

I like the dept of field in the first one but I think it would look better if you can see the first half of his face that got cover by the shadow, maybe a flash would help? I think the crop maybe a little tight. The second one, I don't really like the color and the sky is not all that interesting for me, sorry.

I really like the second one... of course where I'm from its all flat landscape and cows, so I guess its scenery that I can appreciate! The sky looks great. I don't care much for the first one. It doesn't show any personality to the dog, and as pp said the one side is just a bit too dark.
