D40 Wide Angle

    Can others edit my Photos:
    Photos NOT OK to edit
    Does the old nikon 28mm f/3.5 work on the D40? I know it wouldn't be able to autofocus and meter.

    Pretty sure it would work but like you said it wouldn't focus and stuff.

    I'm pretty sure that's not exactly a lens that would be considered wide angle either

    Correct, the lens won't focus nor meter (I'm assuming by "old" you mean pre AI-S) and on a crop body, that is actually the equivalent of a 42mm FL, so it's not really a wide-angle either.
