    I like the first one - the idea of the stone "dock" leading the eye towards the sun. Is the horizon even? It seems to be a bit crooked. Also, I'd suggest some cropping to get the horizon away from the center. How about this (didn't adjust the horizon though, but it definitively needs some adjustment):

    Oh yeah, I see what you're getting at. I like your first edit best. I'll try that.

    I think the horizon is straight- I think that's an optical illusion from the combination of the rocks and the slight mountain or whatever on the right there.

    I checked in Photoshop and the horizon is very slightly off. I know it's a small thing, but I still somehow notice it (although I never seem to notice it in my own shots...). I also prefer the first edit - the sky is more interesting than the water, and the whole scene gets a pleasant dynamic feeling.
