hm. Interesting idea. I kept wanting to scroll right on it though- almost like it might suit me better personally if the flower were on the left. I also wanted to sharpen it... but then I seem to ALWAYS want to sharpen everything. It's a sickness.

This kind of makes me want to go take like 20 pics of dying flowers to see how they come out.

yeah i noticed that too. i'm not dark or anything but i like pictures of dead things. not gruesome stuff, just somber quiet soft feeling stuff. i like it.

Black and white does NOT work with flowers. Colour is much more appropriate.

can you bump the levels any? there seems to me to be a flatness, or a wide range of grays.

i'd leave the levels just as they are, and good call on the BW. it's dying. it isn't colourful, and it doesn't need sharp contrast. i like the soft feel, it keeps attention on the flower, instead of the background.
