I'm a rank beginner at photography. I was using a point and shoot camera to take pics of my woodworking stuff and I got tired of fighting the camera for a decent picture. After a couple days of research I popped out and picked up a Sony A330. Being a somewhat compulsive gadget freak and sufferer of gear acquisition syndrome, craigslist became a good friend. Now I have a shelf filled with old Maxxum cameras, quite a few lenses, and an expensive new hobby. Off to the bookstore, then the camera shop, and lastly a comfy chair for lots of reading. Here are a couple of shots that I feel good about, although I have not developed an eye for the finer details of photography yet. I am ready for school. These pictures have minimal PP, I've just started learning Gimp (about an hour ago).
