First snake of the year

I was paddling my kayak yesterday along the large rocks that front the dam on our local lake when I spotted this full grown

Rat Snake sunning itself. It spotted me and started crawling between the rocks so I only could see bits of it. Still, that was enough. I sorta grew up with them; there was always one around the chicken coop.
