We were invited to a Lure Coursing event by a local Greyhound rescue group (Greyhound Pets of America - Louisiana Chapter [GPA/LA]) about 3 weeks ago. What a kick! Never tried to photograph flying dogs before. I liked the blurred legs; what do you think? Panned on most of these and I struggled with settings...I'm too slow, but look at these dogs' faces and know how they love to run. Take a look for C&C...

#2 - Brindle Borzoi - You can see the lure below him. It was really cool. These dogs just love to run even though they don't have to anymore. Their owners provide them with these sort-of-fun-runs.

#3 - White Saluki - Their muscles are phenomenal!

#4 - Blonde Borzoi - Just so glad to be running.

#5 - Brindle Grehound - Look at the hind quarters on this one. Sheesh!

aaahhh, the sight hounds. they remind me so much of american pit bull terriers.

for me the pictures would've been more clear (faster shutter speed). I really like #3's build, though. it would've been awesome if you used a shutter speed of 2,000+.
