from Korea!

Hey, just got my first ever camera (canon powershot sd1200) so I'm a total newbie, but I have a ton of free time, and I'd really like to figure out how to make better photos.

I'm from the US originally, but currently living in the central mountains of South Korea - which I'd like to be able to take decent photos of! Any and all help is appreciated, thanks in advance.
