This Blue Herron has been around the lake for about 15 years. If you catch some brim and throw it near him ne will eat only 6... Dont know why but he just looks at them past 6. The first is kinda out of focus but it shows his foot (or lack there of) the best. I think its pretty neat, He walks around ant operates just fine with one foot. His name is Bert!

    3. So I was walking in the swamps and ran across these guys, Didnt really have the lense selection on me so this pic kinda sucks but I wasn't getting any closer. How many do you see?

    Do I see three?
And you got them in Virginia!? Wow.

And hey, very, very nice to meet Bert, the Blue Heron!
At first I thought, "hang on, there is something wrong about DOF and focus in the first", but then I saw that foot, or non-foot, and I understand why you chose to show us this.
Bert is a beautiful bird all the same.
    And one that can COUNT!
    I mean....! for that!
