I got my flash :D

For Christmas today, my parents bought me a Nikon SB-600 Speedlight Im really excited...and only have ONE question Id like to ask, when using the sb-600 as a slave, how do I adjust the power of the flash? (For the photo below I just used a smaller aperture and fast shutter speed to underexpose the ambient light)

Ive got a D70 if the camera is somehow involved in this...

You adjust the power from your master (sb800, sb900, camera). I believe D70 allows camera to be master, if so then you can adjust the power.
In camera, it is located under flash control.

I have a D80 and I imagine it is similar. With my camera when running the SB 600 as a slave you control it by using the menu > built in flash > Commander Mode and then adjusting the flash power within whatever group the flash is set up under.

I am still new, but this seemed to work for me. Hope it helps and have fin with your new toy.

Yep go in the menu and go to e1 and then group A set the power how you want +.3-.3 whatever you want. GL

under commander mode you can adjust the output (menu on ur camera)
