For Christmas today, my parents bought me a Nikon SB-600 Speedlight :D Im really excited...and only have ONE question Id like to ask, when using the sb-600 as a slave, how do I adjust the power of the flash? (For the photo below I just used a smaller aperture and fast shutter speed to underexpose the ambient light)

Ive got a D70 if the camera is somehow involved in this...

Thanks in advance, and everybody have a Merry Christmas ^_^

You adjust the power from your master (sb800, sb900, camera). I believe D70 allows camera to be master, if so then you can adjust the power.
In camera, it is located under flash control.

I have a D80 and I imagine it is similar. With my camera when running the SB 600 as a slave you control it by using the menu > built in flash > Commander Mode and then adjusting the flash power within whatever group the flash is set up under.

I am still new, but this seemed to work for me. Hope it helps and have fin with your new toy.
