Unfortunatly I didn't get enough depth of field. Hopefully there's some frosty weekend weather again, and that I manage to get up at 5am, so I can try again :)

Definatly too cold to go swimming. The sand was frozen solid.

This is Hedley. Her favourite game is burying her tennis ball, even shortly after dawn on a frozen beach.

They're all really great. The 2nd is my favorite by far though. It's just so bleak, and the lines in the sand are really cool. I also like the dog. Very cute.

The detail in the first picture really catched my attention. However what makes such perfect patterns in the sand?

#2 is definitely my favorite. I really like that desolate look to the empty beach. Nice!!!

I, too, am wondering about what you're focusing on in the first image. It has a great look, but what is it??

I also like the second pic the best. :D

Is the first one of a tire on a car? I think it is.

I like the second one the best. The dog is pretty cool too. Interesting Idea for the tire.

The tire is a discarded frosty Firestone brand tire I found lying on the beach. I thought it might be fun to focus (unfortunatly my dof was too shallow, and I failed on the focus part) on the fire portion of the brand name.

The patterns in the sand are caused by a receeding tide and weather cold enough to freeze the little ridges caused by the waves. This was helped by a frosty morning.

The dog is a short haired Jack Russel Terrier, and she's burying her tennis ball in the wet sand. I've a couple jacks, but one is far more interested in hunting beach rodents than posing for a picture or two :p The photo of Hedley looks better when it's larger. It's kinda boreing as it is here.

Thanks for the kind words. Makes me wanna go out and blow a few rolls this weekend :)

The frozen tire is different anyway but you're right in that a little more DOF would've helped.
Really like that second one of the frozen beach, definitely different and interesting.
The last one is just a plain cute shot of the dog, probably means more to you though.

a tire... I didn't even notice the fire from firestone until just now. Anyways the desolation of the second if my favorite.
