More Duck images from the weekend at Niagara Falls. The water where the people park to feed the ducks was completely frozen and absolutely brutal for them to land on. They would fly over from the open water and make these incredibly hard landings that made me a Ray flinch every time they hit hard, sometimes they would slide for a few feet on the jagged ice.

awesome shooting Airic, it's so cool to be on a shoot like this, and look at your shots.. I can stll feel those landings!! ouch! those ducks are tough customers eh?

It was about 20F with a breeze this morning, and I am still amazed that these ducks will fly around wet, in such cold weather., and, btw, I still don't have any gloves! lol

Wow Airic. These are just incredible. Holy cow You can see the jagged ice in these shots. Amazing captures.

I was at Bluffers Park last year and was watching some of the swans try to land on the ice.. it was like a 747 coming in. All 4 of them crash landed...and I was not ready to capture any of those landings:grumpy:

Beautiful captures! I bet some of that was hard to watch, even though you know inside that they are familiar with that terrain. ouch!!

Great job, as always. Thanks for posting these! :)
