Light foreground with dark around the edges

IMG_3955_vignette_clarity - on edges.JPG
Vignette applied. A little bit of Minus clarity painted on around the edges. In the yellows, selective color I removed some of the green cast that they boys' skin had. This shot is about the kids, and the beautiful fall colors, and the whole scene. The shot is "the boys by the lake".I don't subscribe to the idea that hacking heavily into an image to single out two people at the expense of the majority of the scene's context is the best course of action in this case. There needs to be a judgement made as to the merits of showing the people and the scene, or just showing the people at the expense of the scene.

I like a vignette that doesn't look like there is a very smoky fire in the vicinity and teh subjects have found the one clear spot.
