It certainly blends in! At first I thought it was a snake but then I saw the arm... Good lighting and clarity and good orientation. Not sure what happened with the white area around the top of the nostril - looks washed out but is actually grey. For some reason that is distracting to me, it just looks strange and out of place with the rest of the head.

Nice capture! Love the detail in the scales. Looks like an injury at that nostril, unless it is just a really weird reflection...

I think this is a case where I would fix the white area around the nostils in PP. The darn shape of the head leads your eyes right to it - there's even a dark line off the center of the eye that goes right to it!

No, it was not an injury ! It was a flash light reflection.
