Despite an all-star cast, it remains a Robert Rodriguez movie. Short on plot, long on gratuitous violence. It is much more like his Grindhouse movies than Sin City. I wouldn't say it was bad, but it seemed to try too hard. If Rodriguez can't make movies like Sin City (which I loved), then at least I would prefer them to be like Desperado. This though? I'd recommend waiting until you can see it for free. And Steven Segal as the leader of a Mexican drug cartel?
