Hi,

Some friends of mine ask me to take pictures if them to put in an album for their mum for Christmas. It was the first time I've ever taken 'posed' photos. All my favourite images I've taken personally have been landscape so it was a bit of a steep learning curve. Most of the pictures I took are against a white wall in my kitchen or in my brothers bedroom. I just used the lighting in the ceiling of the room and the built in flash on my 350D/Rebel XT, I didnt use any other lighting. Pointers are much appreciated!

HI Mark. I think they could all do with some curves/levels adjustments to help add contrast... they look quite grey to me?. I have the same camera (which will hopefully soon become a 5D!!) and a canon580ex speedlight which is a great flash. Im a huge fan of natural light more so than flash photography... maybe u could try a reshoot with them near a big window? the lighting would be way nicer imo. Hope this helps x jem..
