Hello everyone, my name is Trevor. I have been interested in learning photography for a while and finally decide to give it a shot. I purchased a Nikon D3000 with lens kit to see how far my interest will take me. I hope to learn a lot from this forum and share some decent pictures after time.

Hey,welcome to TPF Trevor! Keep in mind--the NIkon D3000 can mount and shoot with basically any lens ever made in Nikon F mount, dating all the way back to 1959. It will not give you light metering or autofocus with old lenses made from 1959 to 1986, but there are over 20 million 1959-1986 manual focusing Nikkors, and probably ten times that many 3rd party lenses that you can plop onto the D3000!
