new orleans jazz

    went down to new orleans twice this last year. Once for Mardi Gras. here are a couple photos I picked up along the way.

    I think I like the third image best, too. Wish I could get it to fit my screen for a little better viewing, though.

    there.....toned down the size a little bit.

    i also like the 3rd one the best....

    The third one is a nice musician's pile. Banjo, couple o' guitars, various gig bags undoubtedly packed out.

    Good DOF, and I think that the B&W is a good choice here.

    I would concur with Shubin on the third picture. The DOF and overall composition is really great.

    I am not so sure if B&W was the right choice for the first pics though.

    ahhh....so much easier to enjoy at this size; thank you!

    Yep, this third shot here is my favorite of your group. I like this DOF so your focus is on the stack of instruments; the background is empty and blurred - the whole image just tells the street musician's story. This is a really nice capture. Good job!

    Although I prefer B&W most of the time, I must agree that the first image might have more visual appeal in color. Not so much with the second one as with the first.
