    Woah thanks! These are some of my first shots with a SLR. These were all shot in manual.

    I like #1.

    In the photos with the deer, they are too far away. Maybe a closer crop would help.

    #1 is very nice, but it would be even more pleasing if the horizon were level. Also, you might want to play with the tone curves a bit in photoshop to make the colors more accurate to real life and cut down on some of the haze. These are nice photos and as you learn more and more I am sure you will be increasingly satisfied with your work.

    sometimes subject matter just doesn't excite me.

    you've composed some shots really well, but the subjects just don't pop out at me.
