Hi all,

a guy locally is selling this flash for about 300 dollars (250 euro). It seems in great condition. Would you think this is a wise choice, thanks

It's a nice flash unit, made solidly. The Strobist-type guys, who fire flashes off at breakneck speed, as if they were using a studio flash system with a fan-cooled head, have given this flash sort of a reputation for thermal shutdown issues. It's probably got 30 years' worth of service left in it if he is not a Strobist nut or a pro wedding shooter who has abused the daylights out of the unit.
