It's fire season in California and it's kicked off with a bang.

Local fire department resources are stretched thin on deployment to multiple local, regional, and statewide assignments.

This fire was started by a tractor plowing fields. Aircraft and hand crews had the fire held at 42.4 acres.

Resources from County, State, and two federal firefighting agencies responded.

I like the 1st pic. I know it was all documentary but it just looks good.

There are a lot of documentary fire photographers, I try to apply an artistic eye beyond simply documenting the scene.

Nice captures! I do have some favorites but they're not numbered.

I need to see more flames, but a good job on all the rest. The rotor blur in the last few was nice.

Here's some flame! But not the same fire... Unfortunately this fire was pretty remote and was mostly out by the time I arrived.
