Osprey Chicks now 16 days old!

Haven't been by the nest in a week or so, been busy with some wedding photos.
First chick was born 4-15-10 the other 3 days later. They sure grow fast!

I was up on top of a small mountain this week the overlooks the Hudson River (NY). It was a very windy day and I was doing my best to take a panorama of the Hudson from this vantage point. I stepped back from my camera, and there is this Osprey floating on the wind currents not 100ft from me. By the time I took my camera off the tripod and adjusted the settings, he was gone.:er:

The third so clearly shows that our birds are still most directly connected with the dinosaurs! That one chick has such a "dragon" look to it!
