overseas charging

i am about to leave on a trip to germany. i'm not sure if the battery charger that came with my Rebel XT will work over there. i know i might need an adaptor but will the change from 110 volts to 240(?) hurt the battery or charger? i'd hate to plug it in only to have it fry right away.

anyone know about this?

All you'll need to do is obtain a plug adapter to suit the German socket. Two round pins. (although parts of the old "East" used a strange plug.
You'll be able to pick these up at the airport on arrival in Europe.

Germany uses 230v so your charger is quite safe.
