Hi everybody,
I'm new to the forum, not entirely new to photography. I've enjoying the hobby since I was about 15.
I live in Laguna Beach, CA and enjoy shooting things in my everyday surroundings. I'm not sure why, but I have not until now had the desire to find inspiration and learn from others by sharing my work in a forum like this, but better late than never.
I am a firm believer that the equipment doesn't matter nearly as much as one's ability to place oneself in at the right situation at the right time, and yet I am quite the gear-head, LOL! One of my best shots to date remains one I made almost 20 years ago with a Practica, made in what was then East-Germany. It had an EXCELLENT lens, but was built like a tank.
Today I'm a Nikon fan and am enjoying my new D300S and use the excellent Nikon 18-200mm lens for 95% of everything I shoot.
