possible female ruffed grouse need help on id

this looks like a female ruffed grouse but it might not be it could possibly be a ring necked pheasant but they are not native were i am right now i dont think we have sharp tailed grouse or prarie chickens were i am if it is a ring necked pheasant it would have to be an escaped bird
