I consider myself a basic nature/macro/travel photographer. For the past 3 years I've been taking pictures for the love of it. Recently with the economy I've fallen into some hard times and I've been thinking of investing in an SLR to boost my picture quality and sell prints.
I've been pulled towards the Canon XTI (w/ 100MM F2.8 lens & Ringlite Flash), later buying a EF 24-105mm f/4L IS. Is this a good idea for the types of photography I like doing? I'm new to lenses.
I'm pretty sure I'll be sticking with Canon, but I also want to make sure that it is the best, picture quality wise (in mostly outdoors) for the price range of $300-$600.
