query about Macro

hello everyone, i just want a further explanation to understand Macro. 'coz i took some shots of candle lit & the color changes when its not set to Macro. why it turns out like that? please guide me where & where to use Macro properly.. thanks in advance...

I would lean more toward that being your white balance rather than your macro. In macro mode, it probably has a larger area to detect your white balance than if you're shooting regularly. A good test for that is to take it off of AWB and put it on something like nighttime or landscape and shoot it in and out of macro mode.
