RAW problem on D Rebel

I have a queer situation... I used to be able to fill up my Lexar 1GB (4X) card shooting in JPEG. Recently I found the fun of using RAW, and start using it. The problem then starts: after shooting about 50+ RAW pictures my camera would start hanging: first the focusing ring would start zooming out and in, the camera system hangs, the card stop writing... and wham: error 02.

Any suggestion?

Sounds very strange to me. Better talk to Canon.

I have the same problem - error 02 on my 300D, except it just seems to be the camera freezing up, there has been no problem with focusing.

I find if I download the files and re-format it is fine. I imaging it is something to do with RAW being such big files and the data getting screwed up.
