The Royal assyrian is an inceribly beautiful butterfly. It is primary found in the forested areas and is fond of sunning itself in the late morning.

This is so beautiful a butterfly as I have rarely seen. The blue/purple on its wings is of an outstanding quality. A night robe of that colour... wow! ;)

Thanks Linda and LaFoto for the comments. The coloration is what give this butterfly the name 'Royal'. This a female specie. The male's color is even more striking.
