Running up hill

The Lao are not helicopter parents and their children run pretty free - and seem to be in great condition.
We were walking down Mt Phousi, a 100 meter high hill in the center of Luang Prabang, and watched this little boy run up from the bottom, he passed us and kept on going - and he wasn't breathing hard.

Great shot, great angle! I like to think I'm not a helicopter parent but I just can't imagine letting my kid run barefoot up a wall on the side of a mountain. Looks like a beautiful place!

I just can't imagine letting my kid run barefoot up a wall on the side of a mountain.

It keeps him out of her hair for a while.
