Any tips on taking this subject appreciated. Lighting was very poor so ISO was pushed up adding to noise although JPG on Flick highlights more than the TIFF file on which I used Imagenomic noiseware pro as well as introducing some gausion blurring to certain areas.

What focus point where you using ? because the runners behind look more in focus and can you post your settings

Looks like the focusing point was right in the middle of the front two runners on that bit of brush there.

FP was left shoulder of number 440. ISO was 800, shutter speed 1/500 at f/5.6, focal length 55mm. I think the NR software has softened the focus - I will go back to my original and have a look.

The focus is behind her shoulder, what camera were you using

Nikon D5000. Will have to check focus point on Nikon import software.........
