Sandhill Cranes...

Very nice, big fan of the cranes myself. One thing I noticed though, and this could just be me, but the eyes seem a bit soft. For future shots maybe stop down the lens a bit more for increased DOF or set your focus point for the eyes.

Yup, cool shot but focus looks to be just beyond them.

Yeah, I agree. actually the focus is an issue of noise reduction. That was shot at 3200 ISO if I remember. Very, very early and the cranes were moving alot, so shutterspeed was kept up. ...but just couldn't pass up the shot! lol

Lol... I hear you. I've got more than a few like that in my collection too - not ideal photos but best I could get under the circumstances. But as long as the end results floats your boat, eh, that's all that really matters right?
