Screan variations

I've noticed that my pictures look very different in different screans. The brightnes and contrast change a lot. How do you post process then? Is there some way of calibrating screans?

yup, you buy monitor calibrators like a spyder.

you can get almost perfect shots visually using wizards and colour control software. just google "monitor calibration" for lots of info and the required charts.

At the very least you can use the Adobe Gamma utility that comes with Photoshop (and PS Elements?) but the Pantone Huey and Spyder are the way to go on a reasonable budget.
