For sure this morning. got about 3 inches of very wet snow and still coming down hard. Time to do a little post on some of the summers photos.

They like cooler climates. You may have a chance north of Nanaimo. Or up around Mount Lazar.

Beautiful! I never got a really good look at one. They were quite uncommon except during the worst of winter when I was in Missouri and the best bet was to see them come out on roads when there was snow cover.

Thank you. Even if you do get to see them, they never stay still for very long.
