Here are some photos from one of my favourite places - Inley Lake in Burma.
Many of the people live in stilt houses on the lake itself. Crops are grown on floating reed beds in the middle of the lake and traditional craft production is still common (see the Silversmith below)

A truly amazing place!

Too bad they won't show up for me, all I get are 7 red x`s... I went to the first two via properties (tedious thing to do) and find them small, but very interesting. You get to see only very, very little of Burma ever, whether it be on the news or in documentaries on TV. Therefore it is a very fascinating country for me.

Anyone else having the problems that I am having with photos linked from ophoto.com?

And hey, Mike: you're new.
WELCOME!!!

P.S. edited in:
Funny, now, after I have been to the first two photos via properties and am seeing the thread again with my (so far unedited - soon to be edited) post, the first two photos are there.... I don`t understand this.)

Yep i'm not seeing them either LaFoto... *shrugs*

Double post:
The photos of the people are very nice - they're all such beautiful people.
And the one of the lake and the rainbow is very beautiful, too. Thank you for showing us a part of the world that we only seldom get to see!

Triple post (almost):
Scurra, with me they show up after I have posted a reply (is this a trick to make people reply ;););)...??)

i can see them all-:)
and they are all really great! - my fav is #5, with a rainbow , but they are all good.
great work!

Hi guys

thanks for the feedback.

I didn't realise that uploaded photos from Ofoto could cause viewing problems!

I've set up a 'Snapfish' album so will try from there.

Thanks again

Mike

It's nice to see posts from places some of us will never get to. I really like the third from last as well as the last.
Thanks and welcome.

Very nice group, but #5 is excellent. Wonderful perspective here. #6 is also very pretty.

Good work. :D

I love them all! But your last three (the 2 rainbows and the man) are my favourites! You even got the different colours on either side of the rainbow to show up in the water in #6. Very nice!!!

Amazingly Good! Worthy of the pages of national geographic! Were they all candid? Were some posed? Did you ask before shooting? I really love the last one.
