    Heya, this is a cool one!
    That spade has taken up permanent residence close to the feeder just so you can keep the camera focused on it to be ready as soon as - e.g. - a guilty-looking starling takes a break there before he flies on to the nest?

    Next best thing indeed! I really like how the starling is framed by the handle, with that cheeky/guilty look. Good capture, Fangman.
