Hey guys! Well Gibraltar has been hit by one of the worst storms ever and one of the incidents deriving from this is that a tanker ran aground! Anyway by chance i was close by taking pitcures and was able to get a few shots of it. The ones that you see slightly out of focus is actually sea spray! The waves as u see in the pictures were big and fierce! anyway ill let you judge for yourselves!

    C&C Welcome!

    Enjoy!

During one of the quieter periods of the storm...

Some of the damage on a local pier

And finally MV Fedra running aground by the local lighthouse...

    phew big storm!
and I rather like that first shot - its as iff the sea is eating the land away

out of interest is the tanker damaged or just grounded and is it full of oil? Last thing you want is a full tanker spilling its cargo into the sea! :(

Empty, but has leaked bout 150tonnes of light fuel

Apart from that it has split in half with the ferocity of the waves as you can see in this pic! (plz excuse the crapines of the pic!)

Excellent; the image of the stern striking the cliff is a stellar bit of photojournalism. Well done! (Ps, it's not actually a tanker, but a dry-goods carrier of some sort.)
