I took this photo testing a flash attachment. I overexposed part of the right shoulder, any suggestions for restoring the detail I destroyed by overexposing?

You might try a difuser in front of the flash head. This can be as simple as a hanky or white paper towel - just enough to difuse the harsh light. Or you can buy a clip on attachment for difusing the light if you flash attachment doesn't alredy have one installed.

Unless it is totally blownout, PhotoShop can usually save it.
