After a rain our Juniper trees get orange jelly-like masses all over them. Strange looking stuff. Here are a couple pics of some on a Eastern Red Cedar (Juniperus virginiana L)

"Digital Flower" might know what this is. I have never seen anything like it, I'm afraid. Is it sticky?
 
fungus! Get that lens back! Fungal jelly has to be contagious. lol
never seen anything like it.

Yes a fungus; I was once told it was what caused Apple rust & Junipers were the host plant but a Biologist on another forum refuted that.

It is not so much sticky but more slimy. There are thousands of these on a single tree but disappear as the tree dries.

Edit:

It is apparently Cedar Apple RUST not scab as I had previously thought.
