I was lucky for a break in the wind and the camera was on a tripod.

Excellent close-ups! They are gorgeous flowers - love seeing the tiny dark veins running through the petals. Close-ups like these really show off the intricate nature of them, though they look great clumped together from a distance, too.

Yep, we lost a whole bunch of magnolias to that cold snap.
