Any good?

Hi Gary, and welcome to ThePhotoForum.

For some reason, I only get to see one photo here, and this is the sides of the houses and the sun peeking through. With this strong light source right from the front, we still get to see enough detail in the wall of this one house, which I think is really good.

This looks so very much like standard British housing to me somehow. I like it.

Hey Gary. Welcome to the forum. Out of the two,I think the second shot is the better. The first has some nice tones, but I think it is the subject that throws me off.

The composition is a little random in the first one, what's that all about? Still, you've exposed it perfectly and got some good tones going on.

Number two is much more interesting. You've broken some rules, which is cool. The end result is pleasing and you've got some good angles there.

Keep going with your photography, maybe do a little search on the forum for the "rule of thirds" and keep posting them - every picture is interesting to us nutcases!

Rob

Thanks for all the comments and advice

I now know of the rule of thirds and will use it on my next 'shoot'

Good luck Gary. Just keep shooting and practising, and posting here and you will do fine.
