Whilst I agree the colors are a little distracting I do find the color of the water fascinating at the same time!

I rather like the color. Its not vibrant or gaudy, rather calming and subtle. In fact, if it were a B+W I would probably call it "busy". But the color seems to draw my attention to things better.

I have to say I too like the color. I think that the color shows the age of the boat (rust and other miscolorations) also the color of the water and the blue sky are great. I really enjoy the color and the subject of this photo.

I wouldn't do black and white, but I would slightly desaturate the sky. It is just SO blue that it sorta steals the moment.
