Update: I decided on the MeFoto Roadtrip. Close to $300 CAD, but it seems to fit the balance I'm looking for between portability and stability

Did you get carbon? Or is the aluminum one really $100 more in Canada?

comes out to being as much as american though...just looks different. simple inflation, my currency shows a higher pay number for employment and higher purchase prices accordingly.

I once had two tripods. I have not a clue what happened to them. I have a line on one right now. I also see a monopod in my future.

I dont know if I'll need one any time soon...
Do you visit a lot of places where they dont allow tripod?

I don't visit a lot of places period.
I want a tripod and monopod because I'm not as steady as I once was.
