in the first one, the house and the dish are distracting from the sky.
i really like the second, like the compostion,the color, and the crop. (ha ccc)

Thanks! I have several shots of the first scene without the house/dish, but to my eye, they were much more boring. I think the house and dish in foreground gives the scene a bit of perspective as to just how big and wide the sky was. Thanks though!

I like both of these.

If you could somehow find a way to get rid of the trees in 1, though... once I saw them, I knew where the horizon was, and the picture all of a sudden 'made sense', and I liked it better when it was just a house and a sky.
